Shakespeare's Life and Times

 

Interesting information:

born in Stratford-Upon-Avon,   April 23 1564
his father, John, was a glovemaker. 
his mother was a 'landed heiress', meaning she came with land and money
Shakespeare was the third of eight kids
Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway when she was 26 (and pregnant) and he was 18
Shakespeare died on his birthday in 1616
He wrote his own epitaph:

"Good friend, for Jesus' sake forbear

To dig the dust enclosed here

Blessed be the man that spares these stones,

And cursed be he that moves my bones."
